Legal
Privacy policy
Last updated September 29, 2026
This policy explains what Build A Dream Incubator collects when you use this website, the member portal or our space, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
What we collect
We only collect what you give us or what we need to run your membership and bookings:
- Contact details you enter in a form, such as your name, email address and phone number, when you book a tour, send a message, request a program or start a membership.
- Membership and booking records, such as your plan, billing status, room bookings, guest passes and free-hour balance.
- Answers you give in the Dreamer Diagnosis, saved as you go so you can pick up where you left off.
- Pantry applications. These can include household and income details, so access is limited to the people who review applications.
- An optional member directory profile, which other members can see only if you choose to list it.
- Basic technical records our hosting providers keep to run and secure the site, such as IP address, browser type and the time of a request.
Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe and are never stored on our systems. We keep a record of what you bought, what you paid and your billing status. Stripe handles your payment information under its own privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy.
How we use it
- To run your membership, bookings, tours, programs and pantry visits.
- To answer your messages and requests.
- To send you messages about your account, bookings and payments.
- To keep the space, the site and your account secure.
- To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.
We only send you news or promotions if you have agreed to receive them, and every such message lets you opt out.
Cookies
We use only the cookies the site needs to work: one keeps you signed in to the member portal, and one remembers your place in the Dreamer Diagnosis. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not use analytics or tracking tools such as Google Analytics. If that changes, we will update this policy first.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising. We share it only with:
- Service providers who run parts of the service for us, such as website and database hosting, payment processing (Stripe) and email delivery. They may use it only to provide that service.
- Authorities, when the law requires it, or to protect the safety of our members, staff or space.
How long we keep it
We keep your information while you are a member or have an open request with us, and afterwards for as long as we need it for tax, accounting and legal records. When we no longer need information, we delete it or remove what identifies you.
Keeping it safe
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted connections and access limited to the people who need it. If a data breach affects you, we will notify you as New York law requires.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you the information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. You can update your directory profile from the member portal at any time. Some records, such as payment history, may need to be kept for legal reasons even after you ask us to delete your account.
Children
This website is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. Youth programs are arranged through a parent, guardian, school or organization.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here and update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will tell members by email before it takes effect.
